Reservation Transactions
As a Fairshare Plus member, you will receive one reservation transaction for every 77,000 points that you own. The following features require a Reservation Transaction:
Confirming a Reservation
Depositing a week with your worldwide exchange company
Transferring Points
 These Reservation Transactions will be allocated to you on January 1 of each year, regardless of your use year start and end date. These reservation Transactions will expire on December 31 of the same year if they are not used. If you use all of your Reservation transactions, a $25$ fee will be required to complete additional transactions.
Points Credit Pool
The Points Credit Pool is a limited feature that allows FairShare Plus members to receive credits for their points. If a member knows they will not be able to use their points prior to the start of their Use Year, they can place all or part of their points in the Points Credit Pool and receive pool credits for them.
The following guidelines apply:
Points must be placed in the pool at least one day prior to the Use Year Start Date.
Pool credits are good for three years from the date they were placed in the pool.
A $25 service fee is required for pooling points.
Pool Credits may be used to book a Standard or Express Reservation within the FairShare Plus system only.
Borrowing Points Points may be borrowed from a future use year during the Express Reservation period - between 90 days and check-in.
ExampleA FairShare Plus member has 100,000 points remaining in their account and they would like to take a last-minute vacation. They want to request a reservation which requires 126,000 points. To complete the reservation, they have the option to borrow the additional 26,000 points from a future Use Year to complete the reservation.
Renting Points Additional points may be rented during the Express Reservation period. The cost to rent points during the Express Reservation period is $5 per 1,000 points. The maximum number of points a member may rent is equal to the amount of points the member receives annually.
Example During the Express period, if a reservation requires 84,000 points and a member has 77,000 points in their account, they may rent the additional 7,000 points needed to complete the reservation. The cost is 7,000 x $5/1,000, or $35.
The only time points can be rented more than 90 days in advance of travel is when a portion of the last night's stay is needed to complete the reservation during the Standard Reservation Period. The cost for point rental during this time is $10 per 1,000 points.
Rotating Priority List
The Rotating Priority List is a feature which helps reserve vacations at high-demand locations and during peak travel times like holidays and special event weeks.
FairShare Plus members may request to have their names put on the Rotating Priority List up to 22 months in advance of their desired travel date for a specific resort and a specific week. Fairfield will then mail the member instructions on when to call Vacation Planning to request the reservation.
If the requested reservation is available, the member will be able to book their reservation up to six weeks prior to the Standard Reservation Period - or up to 11½ months prior to the check-in date. If there is no availability at that time, they have the option to remain on the list for subsequent years. Then, the member will move up in priority as the other members ahead (on the list) confirm their reservations and drop off the list.
Unit Type Definitions
Accommodations: The private sleep areas and the total occupancy which includes multi-beds per room, sleeper sofas, Murphy beds and portables.
Private: Total number of persons a unit will accommodate, based on 2 adults in a private sleeping area.
Bedroom: Accommodates king, queen, double, 2 double or 2 single beds. maximum privacy accommodation for 2 people.
Condominium/Townhouse: A Vacation villa designed with additional space and amenities to accommodate longer more comfortable stays than a hotel-type property.
Den/Loft An extra living area which offers additional sleeping accommodations.
Dining Varies from a small dining area for 2 to 4 people to dining room for up to 8 people depending upon unit size.
Full Kitchen: Includes stove/oven, sink, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and storage facilities.
Living Area: Includes a sofa and entertainment center and additional seating depending upon unit size.
Presidential Suite Luxurious appointed condominium accommodations with elegant furnishings decor, which may include large screen TV, oversized balcony, upgraded appliances and large master sleeping suite.
Guest Confirmations
FairShare Plus members may use their points to book vacations for family and friends.
If the member is not planning on checking-in with the guest, the reservation must be placed in the guest’s name - by requesting a guest confirmation to be added to the reservation. A written confirmation will then be sent to the FairShare Plus member and the guest.
There is a $25 fee for each Guest Confirmation requested. In addition, the member is responsible for the condition of the unit upon the guest’s check-out at the resort.

Housekeeping credits
Each Use Year, FairShare Plus members receive Housekeeping Credits in their account to use when making a reservation. They receive 1 credit for every 1000 FairShare Plus points received annually.
Example
A FairShare Plus Member who receives 77,000 points annually will receive 77 Housekeeping Credits.
The number of Housekeeping Credits required for each reservation is based on the length of the stay and size of the unit reserved. Please refer to the chart below.
Housekeeping Credits required for a Lock-out unit is the sum of Housekeeping Credits required for each unit.
For example, a 2 Bedroom Lock-out unit that is the combination of two 1 Bedroom units requires 126 Housekeeping Credits (63 + 63).
